Melia from the Church Inn on Stockport Road has established a comprehensive entertainment itinerary that has been a success and seen the pub go from strength to strength. A weekly round of quizzes and karaoke topped off with meat raffles and free grub ensures that the Church is filling its pews. Having frequented on a number of occasions, 2 or 3 of my friends have commented on how well managed and welcoming the hostelry has become. How refreshing to see a success story in this day and age of pub closures and repossessions.

The English public house at its best is about conviviality in the company of similarly inclined folk along with fine ale and entertainment and the Church Inn is an outstanding example of this rich mixture. It is lively and buoyant, bustling with young and old, married, partnered and singles alike.
